The risks of operating in China and how to deal with them

March 3, 2011 Videos

As China is expanding its position as a major global player, it is more than ever committed to enhance its business environment. This has led to tougher regulations, with many changes and new rules for foreign companies to follow. Non-compliance now carries serious consequences.

This seminar focuses on identifying, managing and avoiding internal and external risks. Mr. Juergen Kracht will talk about what companies need to do to be compliant.

As a case study of how large corporations deal with compliance, Ms. Julia Kahlenberg gave an overview of measures implemented by Siemens and OSRAM in the APAC region. She also highlighted the business implications and consequences Siemens had to face in the past and discuss how the company has evolved to become a benchmark in terms of compliance and transparency.
